ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE TO - FROM GANGTOK
A: NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (120 kms / 5 hrs)
Meet & Greet on arrival Railway Station / Airport & transfer to Gangtok. For departure, transfer to Railway Stn / airport for your onward journey.
B: Darjeeling (100 kms / 5 hrs)
The drive is typically about 4 - 5 hours long, and quite scenic.
Gangtok Sightseeing
Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Gonjang Monastery & Banjakhri Falls.
The mesmerising prismatic beauty and the beautiful winding hill roads are even more breathtaking if seen from a bird’s eye view in a cable car.
River Teesta is one of the best spots for white water rafting.
Nathula Pass
Nathula Pass experiences heavy snowfall during winter. The temperature may drop down to -25 degrees Celcius. May to mid-November is the summer season when the temperature ranges around 10 degrees Celcius. A valid permit is required to visit Nathula Pass.
Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed)
Pelling (6800 Ft.)
Pelling, second biggest tourist destination in Sikkim, has breath-taking sights of the Khangchendzonga waterfalls and the neighbouring peaks.
The famous Pemayangste monastery is a major tourist hotspot. Pelling also has sites for mountain biking, rock climbing, village tours, meditations, Sky Walk, New Helipad Ground, Darap village, Rimbi water Falls and Khecheopalri Lake.
Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion
Yumthang Valley is known as Valley of Flowers (12,000 ft. Known as Valley of Flowers). Visit Hot Spring as it is considered to have medicinal properties.
If the weather is clear, may see mighty Khangchendzonga from the Singhik viewpoint.
Lachen
Beautiful spots worth visiting are Naga Waterfall, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala. Waterfall. Early morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,200 ft.) & Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 ft.).
